The land grab threatens to destroy the declining dynasty
Scenario
When the massive Lawson cattle station has no heir, rival factions in Australia see a chance to take control. The series was filmed in the Northern Territory and South Australia in locations so remote they are barely inhabited – let alone shown on screen.
enjoyed this series
Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the traditional owners – and Tipperary Station, a real-life working cattle station that’s so big it has its own airfield and school. Great actors.
Anna Torv is wonderful as a complex female adversary
I loved Robert Taylor in Longmeier, he’s a great old western guy. We loved her on Fringe, but we didn’t realize she was Australian because she dropped her accent.
Same for Michael Dorman, who was in For All Mankind
It’s pretty amazing how UK and Australian/NZ actors can drop their accent and sound so American. I like having shows set in nature rather than concrete cities and constant violence.
If you liked Yellowstone, you’ll love this
I really hope there is a season 2.
